Dr. Kavita Khanijow, MD, FACOG joined Manatee Gynecology in 2018. A native to Tampa, Dr. Khanijow received her undergraduate and medical degree from University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency in New York City at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai St Luke’s Hospital.
With a passion for women’s pelvic floor health, Dr. Khanijow completed her fellowship in urogynecology at the University of Pennsylvania. The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is nationally recognized in excellence in training programs and patient care and is ranked #10 on the US News & World Report “Best Hospital Honor Roll.”
She is a published surgeon with articles in peer review journals as well as poster and oral presentations across the country at multiple national conferences. Conferences include AUGS Pelvic Floor Disorders Week, which aims to advance the field of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Khanijow’s special interests included robotic surgery, reconstructive pelvic surgery, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence.
She is affiliated with American Urogynecologic Society, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist.
Dr Khanijow is fluent in English, Spanish, and Gujarati. She enjoys spinning, yoga, and spending time with her family.
